Word Vancouver and Orca Author Event:

Launching in a Pandemic

Friday, September 24 at 12:00–1:00 PM

Presented by: Word Vancouver, Read Local

Host: Heidi Waechtler (Executive Director, Association of Book Publishers of British Columbia)

Panelists: Cynara Geissler (marketing director, Arsenal Pulp Press),: Andrew Wooldridge (publisher, Orca Book Publishers), John Elizabeth Stinzi (author), Eric Walters (author)

The pandemic forced publishers and authors to get creative about promoting their books and find new ways to reach their audiences. As we emerge into the “new normal,” what can we carry forward to build a more resilient and sustainable publishing industry, and better support authors who are launching new titles?
